They are the best scholarships in terms of monetary stipend.

Each year, the NASA Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate awards Aeronautics NASA Scholarships to five graduate students, and 20 undergraduate students who are studying in the field of aeronautics or fields that relate to aeronautics. If you are an undergraduate in your second year of school, you can receive up to $15,000 for the next two years of your education, as well as an internship for the summer, which comes with a $10,000 NASA stipend.

Graduate students receive a $35,000 stipend, $11,000 for three years, and have the advantage of two summers of internship at NASA, with each internship period paying $10,000, for a total of $20,000. This means that in total, for undergraduate students, the total scholarship is approximately $40,000, and for graduate students, the total NASA scholarship award is approximately $88,000. Of course, the added opportunity to work for NASA at the NASA Center is also something to consider and is a ‘one of a kind’ experience that cannot be duplicated anywhere else.
