  • Unclaimed Scholarships Everywhere – Just Look for Them!

    unclaimed scholarships
    Looking for Unclaimed Scholarships

According to the website unclaimedscholarships.us, a site about unclaimed scholarships, the fact that so many people around the world turn towards scholarships to pay for their college education is very well-known; but what many people may not be aware of is that there are millions of dollars specifically kept away by different enterprises, individuals, universities and organizations AS “unclaimed college scholarships” to support students to pay their college cost who are in need of financial assistance.

So the question arises is: how do these scholarships remain unclaimed money?

The thing is; students do require those finances, but most of the times it so happens, that they are oblivious of the existence of these out of sight scholarships, which leads them to be unclaimed by those who meet all the criteria necessary to win it.

It is easy to comprehend that if a person is ignorant of the fact that these mostly hidden scholarships, are out there waiting to be awarded, then how will one apply to them?

Well; this is where the real effort of the applicant lies. If they dig deep and find out information about how they can apply for such out of view scholarships to help pay their college cost, then there will be less and less of those unclaimed college scholarships.

The internet is a very resourceful aid to help guide you through your search for scholarships. Nothing of value which is worth getting comes easy, and due to this reason students need to work with dedication and determination to research for the UN-awarded scholarships online.

If a few hours are spent in rigorous research for unclaimed scholarship funds, it may be VERY beneficial for the student over a longer period of time. With such a return on the investment of time, students should not pass it up and look for the hard to find scholarships, and apply; as that is the first and most significant step towards attaining an unclaimed scholarship.

Graduating students do not want to look at a huge bill at the end of his or her college education in the form of student loans if they can help it, and when they have the option to do something for it – why not take it up and look aggressively before or during college.

Most of the unused scholarships are conventional in terms of qualification. Many scholarships require the student to graduate with the highest grades in their class, do very well in their SAT’s, or ACT’s, and maybe play sports as well.

BUT, with many of these ‘unclaimed college scholarships’, these things are NOT the top priority. On the other hand, they look for unique features in students, and something they may be passionate about like Music, Film-making, Poetry, writing, sports, or even their various hobbies.

Normally; these unclaimed scholarships are not so rigid in terms of the students’ characteristics. They just look for the spark of creativity and the eagerness to learn in a student.

A link on www.twitter.com/scholarships explains unclaimed scholarships to be accessible everywhere for students. These scholarships have a set criterion for the students who are applying, if they cover all aspects of that criterion they are granted that scholarship, but if not, then the scholarship remains unclaimed.

***Look for lesser-known local scholarships. If your high school posts a local scholarship description on their website, check it out! Then, check other area high schools’ sites as well. If you are a standout student in math, research the local math magnet schools’ sites. If you starred in your school play, check the sites of area schools known for their strong drama programs to see what scholarships you can apply to.

    Reasons for Unclaimed Scholarships

Many a time’s, students are unaware of these scholarships being available for them, so they do not bother applying, and this also leads to the formation of the unclaimed scholarship.

Sometimes it just so happens that students did apply for the scholarships and they won, but they never followed through with the process of accepting them. This usually happens when the student who won has a sudden or as we would call a ‘last minute’ change of plans in regards of his or her college career. Those scholarship funds which then remain unclaimed which due to an abrupt adjustment in plans could not be used.

There are plenty of funds in the form of unclaimed scholarships, students should be vigilant not to let that money pass by. Instead they should do all they can to help ensure they are able to apply for it, then work hard to qualify for it, and to acquire that to pay for a college education. The less the burden of payment of the college fee is on your shoulders, the better off you’re going to be in the long run – especially after graduation!

  • Unclaimed Scholarships for College – Do they really Exist?

    Unclaimed College Scholarships
    Unclaimed Scholarships

Are you looking for a way to pay for your college education? Have you heard that millions of dollars in unknown unclaimed scholarships are available to you? There isn’t really unclaimed college scholarships sitting around for anyone to claim – but there are unclaimed scholarship opportunities you really need to be aware of because there are lots of them. Some scholarship sponsors will actually not award a scholarship on a particular year simply because there wasn’t enough applicants who applied and they didn’t even come close to matching up to their scholarship criteria. This tells you that you should apply to all unknown scholarships you can apply to even if your close to the qualifying criteria for a particular scholarship.

The first thing that you need to know is that while each scholarship has its requirements that must be met for eligibility, the majority of scholarships that are available do not require you to be a genius or a saint. If you have average grades, and you’ve lived an average life – meaning that you do not have numerous accomplishments or you haven’t done much civic work – you are still eligible for hundreds of different scholarships.

With that said, the fact concerning unclaimed scholarships is that most scholarship awards actually are claimed. Few go unclaimed, however there are many unclaimed college scholarships that are actually not awarded each year simply because there were no suitable applicants – or there were no applicants at all. These sometimes are referred to as unclaimed scholarships. A student who would have been close to the criteria might have picked up an easy scholarship if they’d applied!

Often, this type of unclaimed scholarship is unclaimed because the amount of the award was very small – and future college students simply went after the larger awards. This is why it is so important not to overlook any obscure scholarships that you may be eligible for, regardless of the award amount.

Make sure that you check out information concerning weird scholarships, as you very well may be eligible for several of those awards, and fewer people apply for those awards because you must have a unique and rare talent to apply and win. Check out local scholarship opportunities, state opportunities, national opportunities, and of course industry specific opportunities. Don’t overlook civic organizations that have scholarship opportunities, including clubs that you belong to, that your parents belong to, or that your grandparents belong to.

In reality, almost all college scholarships have many more applicants than available funds that will be doled out. The few college scholarships that do go unclaimed can’t be claimed because of restrictive selection criteria. For example, the Zolp scholarship is available only for students at Loyola University of Chicago born with the last name of Zolp. The name must appear on their birth certificate, and no, you cannot change your name to qualify for the award.

If you are looking for unclaimed scholarships that exist because a student won the award, and then didn’t attend school, or dropped out of school, you may save time by realizing that in most cases, the award will immediately be given to someone else who already applied for the scholarship and did not win it – but came close – or the funds will revert back to the scholarship fund, and will not be awarded again until the following application period.

There is one form of financial aid that does go unclaimed every year, and that’s the Federal Pell Grant. This is a government grant  for need based students given out when students fill out their FAFSA. According to Edvisors, about (3) million students in 2013-14 who did not file the FAFSA, would have qualified for a Federal Pell Grant. That’s just a few years ago! With college often taking more than four years, many of those students who didn’t file are likely still in school. Of them, 1.3 million would have qualified for the maximum Federal Pell Grant allowed. Those qualified students could have received a maximum amount of $5,645 in Pell Grant awards in the 2013-2014 application cycle. You can ask now, how much money will be left on the table in 2018?

Be very skeptical of websites and other advertisements that offer to get you information on millions of dollars of unclaimed scholarships for a fee. The information that they deliver to you will not be worth the paper that it is printed on, and mostly you will just receive information that you can get anywhere for free, in terms of how to tap various sources for scholarship funds. Purchasing such information is a waste of your time and money.

Understand that you must work to get scholarships for college, and this includes unclaimed scholarships. No matter what scholarships you might receive, filling out the FAFSA annually should be at the top of your priority list. Nobody is just going to hand you money for college because it was lying around unused. The best way to get the funds that you need, is to apply for every scholarship that you are eligible for (time permitting), and realize going into it that this takes a great deal of time and effort on your part. This is the real meaning of finding unclaimed scholarships!

    Harvard Minority Scholarships

Harvard University has scholarships for minority students looking to attend this infamous college. Ever since its inception, Harvard University has been one of the most prestigious and popular Universities in the United States. Each year, the University is ranked number one or near the top of every major college ranking system. For years, it has been tradition for only the smartest and richest prospective students to attend Harvard, and as a result most of these students have been white males.

Recently, there has been a push to ensure more minorities get to experience Harvard University and all it has to offer. There are now many ways to ensure minorities attend Harvard and ensure they can pay for the relatively high tuition. There are many nice scholarships aimed at minority students who are planning on attending Harvard.

Whether you’re planning on attending Harvard or any college for that matter, your number one worry probably isn’t registering for classes, or what dorm you’ll live in, but rather how you’ll pay for college. There are many options available, but most of them will be hard to obtain and cost money themselves. Common methods include obtaining money from parents, taking out student loans, receiving financial aid, and winning scholarships and grants.

Traditionally, it has been difficult for minorities to obtain student scholarships from Harvard University because they generally weren’t well qualified enough to be awarded them and there was a degree of racism which left out many students from receiving the Harvard scholarships which make paying for college much easier. There are some nice scholarships available for minorities who wish to attend Harvard University. Below you will find a select few that are worth mentioning.

ALLEN D. AND MARION L. RUBIN SCHOLARSHIP FUND

To sign up, simply visit the career center at Harvard and ask about the Allen D. Rubin Scholarship fund.

    WILLIAM JONES FUNDS
This Harvard University minority scholarship is focused on helping Native American students who wish to attend Harvard. This scholarship is worth full tuition for one year for one Harvard student. If incomes are from $60,000 to $80,000 then tuition is reduced dramatically making going to college here comparable to many junior colleges. Harvard scholarships for minorities can’t really get any better than this.

FACULTY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship is composed entirely of individual endowment funds received by the university from donors and previous alumni. Every donation over $1500 goes towards this scholarship and it is available for all students, but targets minorities heavily. This scholarship was established over 370 years ago and has been helping students pay for tuition ever since.

    HARVARD NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship was established in honor of Harvard’s 300th anniversary. It was originally established during the 1930’s during the Great Depression, and now is aimed mainly at minorities and other students of low-income families. Each year, this scholarship hands out millions of dollars in scholarship funds to students who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend Harvard.

    CONCLUSION
For many students, paying for college at Harvard University can seem like a daunting task, but with the help of scholarships for minority students, it doesn’t have to be. Minority students now have a chance to earn scholarships from Harvard that were once reserved only for white students. This enables them to attend college and gain the skills necessary to succeed in life at one of the most prestigious colleges in the world, once restricted from attending.

He wrote numerous articles on cartooning and also wrote for the magazines of New Age Journal, Heavy Metal, New York, The IGA Journal, & Escape. He also authored the “The Underground Comic’s Guide” – 1982.

Needless to say he was a cartoon guru whose fascination of comics was almost legendary in itself. He believed that comic’s; or cartooning was one of the best forms of communication in the world. His belief was everyone could understand the art-form of cartoons; as opposed to the fine arts where only the few could fully appreciate what they saw.

  • Johnson and Johnson Scholarships

    johnson-and-johnson scholarships
    Johnson and Johnson Scholarships

Through various groups, Johnson and Johnson scholarships come in various forms and are fairly well available depending on a student’s location in the United States. Johnson and Johnson scholarships are not made directly available to applicants but rather are often made available to specific institutions which then manage the programs on their own. Beyond offering scholarships itself, students who are seeking degrees in nursing should consider using the Johnson and Johnson hosted website, “Campaign for Nursing,” which is designed to help locate Johnson scholarships for those in that field. This resource provides an immense amount of potential resources which students will be able to take advantage of and apply to depending on general eligibility requirements. While these are not all Johnson and Johnson scholarships per se, it is an excellent scholarship finder supported by the company. That being said there are a number of other Johnson Johnson scholarships available to interested applicants, very often in and around the medical fields. Apart from offering two different programs specifically for nurses, another program is available through the American Dental Education Association. As a quick summation, students should understand that Johnson and Johnson scholarships seem to be primarily available to students interested in nursing.

The Johnson and Johnson scholarship which has received the most press and attention has been the Campaign for Nursing’s Future program which in 2011 gave out over 12 different awards. This medical scholarship is managed by the National League for Nursing (NLN) and the National Student Nurses Association (NSNA). Together these groups judge applications and select winners for the available awards. Awards under this Johnson and Johnson scholarship range from $1,000 to $2,500 meaning that with a total available funding chest of $125,000 at the very least 50 different scholarships can be awarded. In order to be eligible for this Johnson scholarship applicants will need to be United States citizens while being enrolled in accredited universities attempting to get any level degree in nursing. While money is available for nursing graduate degrees, money for those students will only be available under certain circumstances. The applications for the program open in May 2011 and close in January 2012. All applications must be submitted no later than January 13, 2012.

Now Johnson & Johnson scholarships do not only come through as nursing awards for students interested in the field. The American Dental Education Association (ADEA) has worked with Johnson and Johnson scholarships to give out multiple $2,500 awards to students. Eligibility for this program requires that students be enrolled at a recognized dental school in the United States, have a “superior academic record,” and be a member of the ADEA. All applications must be submitted to the ADEA office no later than November 1, 2011.

There are of course other programs which have previously offered Johnson and Johnson scholarships which may reopen in 2011-2012. The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners received a grant from Johnson and Johnson of up to $50,000 which provided for 13 different $3,500 scholarships. While there is no promise that the program will be made available again in 2011, interested students should consider checking back in during the summer of 2011 to see if the program has been renewed. As winners of these medical scholarships are announced in December of every year students should check in with the website during June or July to check on its status. The American Association of Colleges of Nursing offered five different $18,000 scholarships for the 2010-2011 academic years which were supported through Johnson and Johnson scholarships. The 2010 deadline for this program was May 7, so there is a good chance that it has not been renewed for the 2011-2012 academic year, but interested students should always pay attention just in case it is reactivated.

Johnson and Johnson scholarships are available for a number of purposes, but they seem to be primarily designed for students interested in nursing or some form of medical practice. Students interested in these fields should absolutely consider the Johnson scholarships as a method to help pay for their education.

  • Scholarships Grants from Many Colleges is Done this Way

    scholarships grants
    Scholarships Grants from Many Colleges

All colleges offer scholarships grants for all incoming students and they may just fit into them automatically; and students won’t have to apply to them either. Other grants and scholarships you do have to apply to them.

For instance, Saint Mary’ University of Minnesota offers incoming Freshman and Transfer Community & Technical College Scholarships and if students fit into the criteria. The scholarships are awarded at the point of admission, or acceptance. A minimum of 30 credit hours are required for the transfer students. No filling out separate applications for it either.

This is why it is so important for students to apply to the college/colleges they are interested in because they may not know if you fit into them unless you apply to the college itself first. Just because students apply to a college or university doesn’t mean they are obligated to attend them. They can decline acceptance anytime.

Northern Illinois University awarded 4600 of their students a total of 10 million in scholarships grants for the 2015-2016 academic school year.

They also expect to award the same in the 2016-2017 school year too!

NIU goes on to state on their scholarship webpage that you will never know if you can win scholarships & grants unless you apply to them. These are key words students should sit up in their chairs and interpret as: “we have lots of money to give to students this year so apply to see what you can get, because getting scholarships from NIU are easier this year”.

NIU is a good college and does a good job at helping students with student financial aid with scholarships grants, and here’s one more example of it.

Another example of how colleges attract students to their schools with monies they have received from outside source donations or fund-raising from former alumni and whatnot, is from the University of British Columbia and their scholarships & grants. 15 Million was raised from their donors and they gave it right back to incoming students and others too, based on a criteria that covers a broad array of students.

If colleges are trying to increase enrollment because of recent significant declines, this makes it much easier for students to win awards at those schools because the scholarship bar is brought down to allow more students in. All colleges do this in one form or another. This can be done easily with scholarships for athletics, music and dance just to name a few categories; but all categories are effected.

The University of Minnesota has a variety of grants & scholarships that covers incoming, transfer and continuing students at their school. They even have awards called ‘CLA Internship Scholarships’ for those undergraduate students working in an unpaid internship off campus.

As you can see they are making sure all categories of students are getting some sort of financial aid to help them attend the University of Minnesota to insure continued enrollment at their school.

Southern Illinois University offers incoming, freshman, transfer and current student scholarships grants likewise. This covers all student types. They even provide a link for outside scholarships students can apply to which is very helpful too. One is The Princeton Review that offers tips and tricks on being successful at getting scholarships. It’s up to date information so it’s very practical.
The University of Wisconsin Oshkosk offers students a long list of available scholarships outside their college as a courtesy to their students on their scholarship webpage along with indicating that they do have direct scholarships grants given out too.

The list offered by UOWO is extensive too and is worth the look by students looking.

Kent State University has over 700 scholarships grants given to their students every year. Some of these are department specific, while others are offered directly by the financial aids department when evaluating students every year for their student aid. To receive department based awards the individual departs must be contacted and applied to direct.

Students can apply to one application which evaluates them for up to 50 scholarships & grants. Kent state also has many grants which they participate in such as 5 federal grant programs & 3 state programs.

DePaul University has a scholarship webpage that is very good too. It covers many student categories and even has adult, graduate and alumni scholarships available to be applied to.

DePaul hands out 26 million in scholarships and grants every year so its worth a look.

Columbia College in Chicago offers a solid scholarships grants webpage for their students. There are many student awards to apply to which will cover many student categories and criteria.

Other Sources of Cleveland State University Scholarships

Apart from these two scholarships there are other external sources of scholarships that students are normally advised to explore in the event that they are not successful in their application for the aforementioned scholarship programs.

Considering the fact that scholarships are normally awarded based on merit and/or financial need, it might be hard to obtain these owing to the number of applicants and their special situations, so it is always a good thing to at least consider the external scholarships grants, if and when available.

When you are applying for scholarships from Cleveland State University, you have to be very keen on the requirements for eligibility. It is diligent for you to go through all the requirements step by step to ascertain whether or not you are considered eligible to apply.

The main reason for this is because there are some scholarships that you cannot apply for when you have already applied for or received awards from other specific scholarships. Therefore you have to be very keen on the application procedures involved.

Apart from that, there are also requirements that you need to know about especially when you intend to keep your scholarships. This is important especially for the scholarships and grants that are renewable on an annual basis. You have to take note of the renewal dates, the renewal procedure and all the requirements and guidelines necessary.

Of course there are other alternatives that students can look into which go so far in making sure that you can enjoy your studies. You can always consider the work-study option which will certainly help guarantee you some financial freedom when you are going through your studies – which we highly recommend!

INMU is located in the city of Marquette; in the Upper Peninsula of the state of Michigan, which is steeped in history; and one beautiful, fun, scenic place to attend college!

    Northern Michigan University Scholarships Grants

The Board of Trustees Grant is normally awarded to students that are in financial need, and are eligible for Pell Grant. It is awarded per student up to a maximum of $2000 every other year. However, you must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours to be considered for this award. The award is renewable every year, though you must show excellent academic progress to be eligible for renewal.

The institution also offers 5 NMU ROTC Room/Board Scholarship awards every year, but it is only available to the students who are enrolled full-time in the institution. Whether or not the scholarship is renewable will depend on the Military Science department, but the student has to be residing in a NMU residence hall.

Take note that if you are accepted for this scholarship, it will override your eligibility for all the other scholarships or grants that are awarded by NMU.

The Michigan Army and Air National Guard Grant normally covers up to 45% of the tuition and fees that students are supposed to pay, but the number of awards varies from time to time.

The Alumni Scholarship for Michigan residents is another award that is available to students whose parents or grandparents are alumnus and live in Michigan. The alumni normally awards $1000 legacy scholarships every other year to 15 students, and you are free to reapply if you need to. You must however submit the alumni legacy certification form and fulfill a host of other requirements to be considered for the award.

Besides, if you graduated from NMU and you live out-of-state, your children can benefit from the Alumni Dependent Tuition Program, as long as they are 24 years or younger. With this benefit program they will be able to pay fees applicable to in-state tuition instead of the higher out-of-state tuition fees.

The Freshman scholarships grants are available for strictly for US citizens/permanent residents who may not have attended any institution after they graduated from high school. These are students who did not go to any college or any institution of learning after they completed their secondary school education.

NMU normally considers the overall GPA on the transcript provided by the high school. However, in the event that the school uses weighted and underweight GPA, the higher of these values will be applied to the selection process.

The school also provides transfer awards, which are also scholarships grants that are provided only for eligible US citizens/permanent residents. It is important to take note of the fact that you may get your scholarship reinstated for the proceeding academic year if you were eligible for renewal by the time you were leaving NMU, if you have not been enrolled in any other institution of learning between the time you left NMU and the time you came back.

You can however get in touch with the admissions office or the financial aid office for more information on a list of scholarships and grants available from NMU, along with the registration deadlines and any other information that might be useful to you.

Northern Michigan University is worth looking into as a place to attend college and the admissions office, along with financial aids, is one of the most accommodating when it comes to awarding scholarships and grants for students.

  • Looking for those Hard to Find Scholarships and Grants

    hard to find scholarships grants
    Hard to Find Scholarships Grants

To wish for a smooth college life is the dream of every student. Who wouldn’t want tantrums like laptops, books, and tuition fee and hostile expenses taken care of beforehand? Many students work part-time jobs to get by, but a simple solution to this problem is getting scholarships and grants which are a little hard to find.

To attain a good education in a good college requires more than the average American family earns. Applying for scholarships and grants help pave a path to the above wish. Scholarships and grants are available all year round; in fact there are deadlines for one every other month. Scholarships are not only restricted to college students or High school seniors. You can apply for a scholarship at any grade level including kindergarten!

Although the number of scholarship grants is very few, they are not entirely a myth as some people think. Usually the scholarships and grants that do go unnoticed are closer then find them. For college scholarships and grants, there are two types:

    · Public scholarships (includes government scholarships and grants)
    · Private scholarships

Those hard to find scholarships can fall in the private category. Private scholarships provide full or fragmentary financial aid. But their only drawback is that very few students fit its eligibility criteria. Scholarships sponsors sometimes pay special attention to the students major like for example, students majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) have a better chance at grabbing this type of scholarship than non-STEM students. Or sometimes if the student is athletic and plays a certain sport.

Other times it does not even matter if the student has straight A’s or not, sometimes they judge a student’s ability on whether he/she is creative and crafty enough in a particular endeavor.

The scholarship sponsors claim to say that their scholarships’ qualification method aims at a wide variety of students from all race and creed including minorities. (Latino, Caucasian and African-American).

Looking for the hard to find public scholarships grants can be tricky! Your school and college guidance counselors can help you with this, providing you with authentic information and helping you how to apply. Applying for a unique scholarship or grant, does not require a lot of work as a student can reuse his/her essay for many different scholarship and grant applications.

Apart from this, information regarding hard to find scholarships can also be found in libraries and online sites. Online sites can sometimes be dodgy. Naive people sometimes get tricked into scams which end up costing them more than a scholarship might be able to cover for.

Applying online for scholarships grants shouldn’t cost more than a dime. A decent site to search for little known scholarships is tinmark.com. It provides scholarships according to the students’ personal background.

Hard to find scholarships and grants when found and applied to and won; can help a student set his college life in order. Not only does it help financially but also academically. Scholarships grants are worth a lot of money than the average student would be ever able to generate. Sometimes a student is over rewarded, meaning he has a scholarship and financial aid from the college as well. In circumstances like these the college lowers the aid it has provided. The college policy vouchsafed its aid by using it in the following way:

    · To pay of the students’ debt: Even students who have scholarships sometimes take student loans or grants. The college, by cutting low its financial aid, helps the student get rid of this headache.

    · To fulfill an un-met needs: needs regarding college expenses.

    · To replenish the colleges own fund that it gives out as grants: if money is left after completing the above two tasks, the remaining is added to the college fund.

The above procedure is one of many “outside scholarship policys” every college has its own way of reducing the students’ need-based financial aid. Some colleges outside scholarships policy has the primary goal of redeeming their own funds; this usually aggravates scholarship sponsors.

Crux of the article is that hard to find scholarships and grants can help an ambitious student achieve his/her dream without getting into the hassle of student loans!

    Consider them!

  • Unclaimed College Scholarships and Grants – When looking treat it like a job!

    unclaimed scholarships
    Unclaimed Scholarships

According to many educational student financial aid websites, when high school students set out to go to college their main concern is the payment of their college fee. The same concern is shared by their parents and even by students who are currently attending college. Odds are that they are all worried about paying their cost. It is a very rational and realistic fear given the state of the economy of these days in which the college tuition is increasing faster than the inflation rate.

People can help themselves in diminishing this burden by saving up for their college cost well beforehand; that is before the college application actually starts. The other way is to seek out the college scholarships and grants available for this sole purpose.

College scholarships are accessible to students so they can easily pay for a good education and not worry about its financing, but the quirk of it all is that students NEED to apply for these scholarships to get them, or else they will remain unclaimed, or simply unused.

Many students today are uninformed of the existence of these scholarship programs so they don’t bother to apply for them. And most pupils who do submit an application for such scholarship programs have perceived misconceptions about them, that they are not eligible for qualification as they don’t have the highest grades in their class and are not the best in the Sports they play. But these perceptions and assumptions can be many times wrong about these student college scholarships grants.

Many scholarship websites indicate that millions of dollars are just waiting to be used by regular college students as scholarships; they are not just for students who excel in their studies but for students who have good, unique personalities and hobbies and the passion to learn. All they have to do is apply for these unusual college scholarships.

Students don’t need to be superstars to be granted these unique scholarships, but they will definitely feel like one from the inside when they get awarded one such scholarship when they don’t have to pay for their college tuition themselves.

They just have to search for them online or else they shall remain unclaimed!

Unclaimed scholarships don’t only exist because the students are unaware of their existence, they are also unclaimed because students sometimes apply for these scholarships, and they qualify for them as they are suitable according to the criteria, they win the award, but they do not follow through with the procedure of accepting it which leads them to be unclaimed.

Information on ScholarshipsGrants.us tells that if such a scenario comes forth, the grant will immediately be given to another candidate who already applied for the scholarship and did not win it or the funds will go back to the scholarship program and will stand unclaimed.

Care and skepticism should be practiced while surfing the internet and browsing websites for scholarships and advertisements that offer to get you information on millions of dollars of unclaimed scholarships for a fee. They turn out to be frauds as the same information on unclaimed scholarships that they provide you on paper is mostly available for free on many other websites, in terms of how to find links of and how to tap into various sources for scholarship funds.

To pay for such information is a waste of your money!

The most significant thing is that you work hard to acquire scholarships for your college tuition, and for that you need to apply for many unclaimed, or unknown scholarships. If one doesn’t work out for you then maybe some others will, BUT you need to keep searching the internet and APPLYING for college scholarships and grants which will be a great help in paying a large sum of money for your college education.

No one is going to just hand over the money to you for your college tuition and fees just because it was lying around unused. The best way to go about it is to apply for every scholarship that you can which is in your eligibility range. You need to understand that all this work needs a lot of effort and time and that is how you can make the most of unclaimed scholarships.

Work at it like a job to get the best results!
