This award was set up in memory of the late Richard G. Zimmerman. All applicants who apply must have a 3.00 GPA, and a senior in high school.

    The Feldman Fellowship for Graduate Studies in Journalism

    The National Press Club also has The Feldman Fellowship for graduate students looking to further their education as a Journalism student. Winners also receive a $5,000 stipend towards their tutition cost. All applicants must be enrolled in an accredited graduate program in Journalism.

    Cox Journalism Scholarships & Grants

    The Cox Journalism scholarships award (5) $2,500 scholarships grants to students looking to attend Technical or study Journalism in college. Applicants must be US citizens and attending a US school. The Cox scholarship is provided by the The James Alan Cox Foundation, in memory of James Alan Cox, a television photojournalist.

    Fred Rogers Memorial Scholarships Grants

    Two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and graduate students who will be studying children’s media who want to expand the values & principles of Fred Rogers. The Fred Rogers Scholarships Grants awards are project based. Extra perks will also be given to winners of this award.

    The Associated Press Sports Editors Scholarships & Grants

    The Associated Press Sports Editors Scholarship is also available, through the Associated Press Sports Editors. Four awards are available each year, in the amount of $1,500 each, and they are available for juniors or seniors. Awards are given out based on journalistic skill & work, academic achievement, need based, and the location of where the student resides.

    ACES Scholarships Grants

    The American Copy Editors Society offers $8,500 in scholarships with first place get $2,500, and four others receiving $1,500 each. ACES will have a education scholarship in memory of Bill Walsh staring in year 2017. The details of the award will be created, and thus posted on the ACES website. It will be judged based on those students who exhibit the talent & passion for language, as Bill devoted his life too. ACES, the American Copy Editors Society, is a non-profit education & membership organization working toward the advancement of copy editors.

    National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) National Scholarships Grants

    The NATAS offers the Betty Endicott NATAS-NCCB Chapter Student Scholarships which range from $1,000 to $5,000. Applicants are to be majoring in communications and/or broadcast journalism. Other requirements are students must be enrolled, full time sophomore, junior or graduating senior with a declared major in communications or broadcast journalism, or a full-time graduate student in pursuit of an advanced degree in either communications or broadcast journalism, with a GPA of 3.00, or higher, and exhibit an interest in communication, or broadcast journalism through coursework, extracurricular activities, internships, jobs and volunteer work. The NATAS National Scholarship applications are accepted in February of each year.

    The National Press Photographers Foundation Scholarships and Grants

    The Alexia Scholarships Grants

    The Alexia Foundation sponsor’s many journalism scholarships for photographers, but these scholarships are part of contests sponsored by the Foundation. The first place scholarship award amount for undergraduates is approximately $15,000, or full-tuition to be used to study photojournalism in London. The education will take place through Syracuse University, as a part of the Syracuse University Abroad Program. There are also photojournalism scholarship awards for second place, awards of excellence, and awards for graduate students as well.

This award is appealing because it is a one time cash award of $5,000 and you get $1,000 worth of Sigma products as well. The deadline for this journalism scholarship is February 15th.

    The Ruggles National Right to Work Scholarship for Journalism
    This journalism collegescholarship is given annually to undergraduate and graduate students who have displayed they have what it takes to complete the program and can comprehend what voluntarism means. In addition, they must understand the problems associated with compulsory unionism. The deadline for this journalism scholarship is December 31st.

    The RTNDF Electronic Journalism Scholarships
