If you are looking for unclaimed scholarships that exist because a student won the award, and then didn’t attend school, or dropped out of school, you can save time by realizing that in most cases, the award will immediately be given to someone else who already applied for the scholarship and did not win it – but came close – or the funds will revert back to the scholarship fund, and will not be awarded again until the following application period.

Be very skeptical of websites and other advertisements that offer to get you information on millions of dollars of unclaimed scholarships for a fee. The information that they deliver to you will not be worth the paper that it is printed on, and mostly you will just receive information that you can get anywhere for free, in terms of how to tap various sources for scholarship funds. Purchasing such information is a waste of your time and money.

Understand that you must work to get scholarships for college, and this includes unclaimed scholarships. Nobody is just going to hand you money for college because it was lying around unused. The best way to get the funds that you need is to apply for every scholarship that you are eligible for (time permitting), and realize going into it that this takes a great deal of time and effort on your part. NWLB Michigan

Here’s a different twist on finding fast and easy scholarships to pay for your college tuition. If you default into this NWLB – No Michigan Worker Left Behind criteria then it will pay for your college for two years. You won’t have to do anything but apply for the NWLB Michigan program and your tuition is covered. Now that’s a simple scholarship to get. Here’s how it works.

If you live in Michigan, and you are unemployed or about to be laid off, you may be eligible to obtain an education courtesy of the NWLB (No Worker Left Behind) Michigan Program. The purpose of this program is not only to educate Michigan residents, but to educate those residents in a way that prepares them for emerging knowledge-based job opportunities in the state of Michigan.

While the initial goal of the NWLB (No Worker Left Behind) Michigan Program was to help 100,000 workers to obtain the skills that they needed to get back to work, or to start work in a more advanced industry, the program has been successful – to the point where more than 80,000 residents have participated, that the program will far exceed that goal.

If you are eligible for the program, you will receive $5000 each year for your education, for two years. The total amount cannot exceed $10,000, and you must finish your educational program within four years. Only certain programs are approved for the easy scholarship tuition program, and some examples of these programs include biotechnology, advanced manufacturing, health care, and renewable energy.

In order to be eligible for the program, you must be unemployed, have received notice that you will be terminated or laid off. If you are working, you must not have a total annual family income of more than $40,000. In either instance, you must be eighteen years of age or older, and if you are between the ages of eighteen and twenty-three, you cannot have been a high school graduate within the past two years. You cannot currently be a full time college student.

There are, of course, additional requirements for the NWLB (No (Michigan) Worker Left Behind) program. You must attend a school in Michigan, and this school must be an approved training program, or a Michigan University or community college. You must also take a skill assessment through a Michigan Works Agency. Obviously, you must be a resident of Michigan. All simple criteria for fast & easy scholarships for Michigan students.

In order to apply for this tuition program, you must visit your local Michigan Works Agency (MWA). Each agency will differ in terms of how the application process is carried out, and the amount of time that it takes to get a decision. Because of the overwhelming popularity of the program, there is a backlog, so make sure that you apply as soon as possible to take advantage of this short term opportunity.

If you are concerned about the degree programs that will be approved for the tuition program, you can be certain that there are a wide range of programs that qualify. For example, all of the degree and certificate programs offered at Walsh College in Michigan qualify for the program.

Before you visit the Michigan Works Agency to apply for the program, you should visit the college that you will be attending, in Michigan, to talk to a student counselor and determine which degree or certificate program will work best for you so you can land one of these easy scholarships. However, again, you will have to take a skill assessment test through the MWA as well.

It is important to understand that when the NWLB Michigan (No Worker Left Behind) Program was established that it was set for a three year period, beginning in August of 2007. This means that unless the program is renewed, August of 2010 will be your last opportunity to take advantage of this free tuition opportunity. Chances are it will continue with the current (2009) state of the Michigan economy. JRF Scholarships

The Jeannette Rankin Foundation (JRF) Scholarships for Single Mothers all started in 1978 in the memory of Jeannette Rankin the first woman to be elected to the United States House of Representatives and the first female member of Congress. She was referred to as the Lady of the House at that time which started the common used phrase at the White House today. Upon her death in 1973 she left money to specifically help mature, unemployed women workers and this led to the beginning of the JRF Scholarship and Grants for single mothers. Since Jeanette was noted for being a proponent of peace and women’s rights, her lasting desire was to spearhead her cause where she felt really had the most impact; and that was in helping those women in need who had very few other opportunities to help themselves. For 2009, JRF awarded a total of (80) JRF scholarships for single mothers and approximately half were awarded to new students while the other half were awarded to renewing scholars. To qualify; all applicants must be a women of course who is 35 or older, having low-income according to the ‘U.S. Department of Labors Lower Living Standard’, pursuing a technical or vocational education, an associate’s degree, or a first bachelor’s degree at an an accredited school or accepted at one, and lastly must be a US citizen.

In the JRF scholarship application, you will be required to write about your goals, your plan for reaching your goals, challenges you may have faced, & your financial situation to give the Jeannette Rankin Foundation Scholarship committee a clear picture of exactly who you are and why you should be awarded this single mother college scholarship. 2) If you do qualify, you will be notified by mail that you will be receiving the Century Cincinnatus scholarship of $2,000 per year for four years, if you maintain a 3.2 GPA and complete (30) hours of community service per year.

3) You will then be offered an opportunity to compete in the Cincinnatus scholarship competition to be held on campus on February 7, for more than $18 million in University of Cincinnati four-year scholarships. This gives you an opportunity to earn more scholarship monies by winning the University, Founders, or a shot for the largest of the awards, the Ten Cincinnatus scholarships of $80,000 (est. $20,000 per year).

4) You will be asked every year to compete as long as you maintain the 3.2 GPA and (30) hrs community service. You’re guaranteed $2,000 every year, and the chance to earn more if you place in the Cincinnatus Scholarship Competition yearly.

The University of Cincinnati does not place restrictions on the number of freshmen eligible to recieve the base level Century scholarships. Whoever fills out the University of Cincinnati admissions application and “qualifies”, based on the specific questions which qualifies you for the Cincinnatus Scholarship; will be awarded monies. Then, each and every year you can choose if you want to compete on February 7th, for a chance to upgrade your Cincinnatus Scholarship to a higher monetary level.

The unknown Camille and Bill Cosby Scholarship in science was established by Camille and Bill Cosby in memory of their late son Ennis William Cosby. It is administered through Temple University Natural Science’s Department, which is located in Philadelphia, PA. The main campus is 1.5 miles north of Center City Philadelphia, very close to the arts, music, intellectual and culture scene. Philadelphia is the country’s sixth largest city. Their is also a second unknown Cosby scholarship awarded through Temple University and it’s called the Camille Cosby Scholarship in Science. This is awarded only to entering freshmen who graduated from Simon Gratz, Germantown, Central or Girls High School (all in Philadelphia), who intend to major in one of the natural sciences, and who have demonstrated financial need. The amount of this Cosby scholarship is (1) $2,400 tuition award, and is renewable for one year with a requirement that a 3.0 GPA is maintained. No separate application is required. The recipient is selected by the University’s Cosby Scholarship Committee of the Provost’s office, based on nominations from the Simon Gratz, Germantown, Central or Girl’s High School (all in Philadelphia).

If you’re an employee of Taco Bell corporation, you have an easy chance to earn their unknown student scholarship compliments of the Glen Bell Scholarship Program. These undergraduate and relatively unknown easy scholarships, are offered to employees who are interested in advancing their education at both universities and vocational schools throughout the United States. Both full-time and part-time students have an opportunity to earn Taco Bell scholarships grants.

What do you have to do in order to qualify to win a Taco Bell scholarship from your employer?

First, you must have been employed by a company or franchised owned or licensed by Taco Bell for at least six months prior to the application deadline for the little known Glen Bell educational scholarships. You also have to work at the store for an average of at least 15 hours a week. Any hourly employee who meets these criteria is eligible to apply for these easy college scholarships.

If you are a senior in high school, or have graduated from high school, you may be able to win one of the Glen Bell Taco scholarships, provided you have maintained a grade point average (G.P.A.) of at least 2.5. This Taco Bell scholarship program is available to both full- and part-time students at any accredited undergraduate or graduate school in the United States.

For those candidates who are planning to attend four-year universities, these undergraduate Glen Bell scholarship awards are for the amount of $2,000. Students planning to attend vocational or two-year colleges may earn $1,000 toward the cost of their college tuition. Although these funds are awarded for only a single year, any student who meets the qualification requirements for this merit scholarship may apply again to win this unknown scholarship.

Students are expected to submit a transcript and other required documents by April 1st of the scholarship year. Those who win will be notified of their status in May. This Glen Bell Taco Bell college scholarship money will be given to the student in two equal checks, delivered to his or her home in August and December of the year in which the scholarship is received.

Remember, though, you must continue to remain an employee of Taco Bell Corporation at the time the checks are distributed. If you aren’t planning to remain a part of the Taco Bell workforce while you are completing that year of college, don’t apply for this Glen Bell scholarship!

Factors that determine a student’s likelihood of receiving this unusual award include academic excellence, participation and leadership in community and school activities, and work experiences. Any unusual or personal circumstances are considered, but these easy scholarships for college are not awarded on the basis of a student’s financial needs. An outside appraisal of each student’s circumstances, however, must be completed and documented.

There is weird unknown left handed scholarships being offerred by Juniata College located in Pennsylvania and it’s being sponsored by the Mary Francis Beckley Scholarship Foundation. There are thousands of unique and unusual minority scholarships available to qualified students each year. Many are offered based on a student’s ethnic background or other personal attributes. One characteristic that many people may not even realize puts them in a minority, though, is their status as a left-handed person.

You probably weren’t aware that left handed people are a minority. In fact, only ten percent of the entire population is left handed! One college in Pennsylvania, however, both recognizes and celebrates this individual diversity. Each year, Juniata College awards up to $1,500 in academic scholarships each year to students who experience some type of handicap as a result of being left-handed.

These scholarships for left handers are funded by the Mary Francis Beckley Scholarship Foundation. This weird scholarship just for being left handed was founded in 1979. Since that time, at least 40 students have been awarded scholarships from this fund. Left handed scholarship students are identified by a question on the data form that each college freshman completes.  Woman don’t have to worry either because Juniata has scholarships for left handed females too!

Those students who have excellent academic records are chosen as left handed college scholarship recipients. Any left-handed sophomore, junior, or senior student attending Juniata College is considered for this left handed award. Only students attending this college, however, are eligible for this weird unknown scholarship opportunity.

This college offers a wide variety of programs, including Programs of Emphasis, or Majors, in accounting, biology, communication, education, politics, and language. Each student attending this college has a unique opportunity to win one of several merit unknown scholarships. The amount of these awards, in many cases, ranges from $8,000 to full tuition scholarships.

Although many scholarships for left handed people websites frequently mention left handed scholarships, the award offered at Juniata College is the only one designed specifically for left handed students. This is somewhat weird, considering that one in ten persons are left-handed, but apparently, many left handed philanthropists choose to donate unknown scholarship monies to other funds or organizations rather than funding college tuition for other persons who are left handed.

Unless you are considering attending Juniata College, though, start looking for other ways to fund your college education. You aren’t going to win a left handed college scholarship just for being left handed unless you just happen to decide to go to college in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. And, although Juniata College offers a sound education with an excellent graduation rate, the small size of the college is a big indicator that not all left handed persons are going to be able to attend college here.

If you are planning to go to school here, though, and you do happen to be left-handed, it might not hurt to at least ask about their left handed scholarships when you are filling out the data form. Unless you’re willing to look out for unusual and weird scholarship opportunities to finance your education, you may not see them even when they come your way.
